Symptoms of turbo problems
- The vehicle has lost power, especially when accelerating
- Whistling or hissing when accelerating
- Blue or black smoke from the exhaust
- The engine goes into limp mode
The turbo is often the victim, not the cause
A turbocharger spins at enormous speed and depends on clean oil and a leak-free air system. Poor or insufficient oil, leaking hoses or intercooler, a clogged filter or a faulty actuator can destroy it. If the cause isn't fixed, a new turbo will fail too.
How we work
- Diagnostics of the turbocharger and the boost air system
- Testing the sealed system under pressure with a smoke machine
- Testing, adaptation and repair of the turbo's electronic actuator
- Turbo overhaul or replacement
- Checking the oil supply and changing the oil and filter when fitting
