Why the oil needs changing
Automatic transmission oil lubricates, cools and transmits the pressure used to change gears. Over time it loses its properties and collects fine wear particles. The transmission then responds more slowly and jerks, and the load on the valves and the transmission electronics increases.
Signs your transmission needs a service
- Jerky or harsh gear changes
- Delay when engaging D or R
- The transmission occasionally goes into limp mode
- The oil hasn't been changed since the vehicle was bought
Oil change or flush?
A standard change drains only part of the oil. The rest stays in the torque converter and the cooler and mixes with the new oil. Flushing the complete ATF/CVT oil system replaces almost the entire volume, so the transmission gets truly fresh oil.
Along with the oil we replace the filter and the oil pan gasket, and finish with a diagnostic transmission adaptation and a test drive.
